Emily Nicholas to Serve Second Term on Board of Retirement
Emily Nicholas, Administrative Assistant at the San Joaquin County Mosquito and Vector Control District, ran unopposed for the Second (Active, General Member) seat on the Board of Retirement. Her new three-year term begins on July 1, 2023.
The Board of Retirement is SJCERA's governing body. SJCERA administers retirement and associated benefits for eligible employees of the County of San Joaquin and nine other participating employers. SJCERA collects contributions from active members and their employers, invest these funds and pays benefits to retired members and beneficiaries.
2023 Open Enrollment Begins May 1
Open Enrollment for County-sponsored health plans is May 1-26. New premiums, and any changes you make during open enrollment will be effective July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024. Your current plan selections and covered dependents will remain in effect if you do not submit a form requesting changes. Refer to SJC Human Resources page for more information.
SJCERA’s Award Winning Financial Reports Provide Valuable Information
The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to SJCERA for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2021.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
