The following calculators have been created to aid you in your retirement planning. Please note that any of the results you create are based upon the information that you have entered, and subsequently may not reflect the actual compensation you are entitled to receive when you retire.

Eligibility for Retirement
Members meeting the following eligibility requirements may file an application for a service retirement allowance:

General Members:

• Age 50 and 10 or more years of retirement service credit, or
  
• 30 or more years of retirement service credit, regardless of age, or
  
• Age 70, regardless of the amount of retirement service credit.
  

Safety Members:

• Age 50 and 10 or more years of retirement service credit, or
  
• 20 years or more of retirement service credit, regardless of age.
  

Reciprocal service credit counts toward determining when a member has accrued the minimum amount of service credit to qualify for retirement. Previous county service purchased (e.g. extra help or previous membership) also counts towards the minimum service requirement. Public service purchased (e.g. military service or federal civil service) is not included in determining if a member has met the minimum service credit requirement.
