Responsibilities:
Elected to the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors District 3 seat in June 2008.
Serves on many committees including the Retirement Board, Council of Governments, Mental Health Advisory Board, Caltrans Rail Task Force Steering Committee, San Joaquin Flood Control Agency, Ad Hoc Green Belt Policy Committee, San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission, Farmington Dam Recharge Executive Coordinating Committee, Health Care Services Review Project, Deferred Compensation Committee.

Career:
First elected to the Stockton City Council in 2002 and established a record on the council as an independent decision maker, known for making fiscal responsibilities one of his top priorities. As a council member, he served on various committees such as the Delta Water Supply Project Committee, Mokelumne River Water and Power Authority Policy Committee, San Joaquin Area Flood Control Agency, San Joaquin County Council of Governments Board and San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission.

Community/Civic:
Appointed to the Stockton Planning Commission in 1993 and served two terms as commissioner and was twice selected as Chairman.

Education:
Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific; Masters in Finance, National University

Personal:
Born in Lodi, California, on April 25, 1956 and raised in San Joaquin County. He is the son of Greek immigrants. Married 21 years to his wife, Doreen; they have two sons, Danny and Paul
